Xiaomi is about to present two new smartphone models, which are not new: they are rebrands of devices already on sale that will be added to the already wide offer of the Chinese manufacturer.
The range of smartphones in the pipeline for Xiaomi does not end. In fact, the Chinese giant has announced the arrival of a new series, called Mi 11X. To be part of it will be at least for the moment two phones that, however, are not so "new". It is in fact two faces already known that return to the limelight under a new name.
The date set in the calendar for the presentation event is that of next April 23. To announce it through a teaser image was the company based in Beijing, confirming the imminent arrival of the X Series. In the coming weeks, therefore, the two new smartphones will be catapulted in the already large group of proposals of the Chinese technology giant that, only with the recent Mi 11 range, has introduced on the market 5 devices. The two phones, however, will not be alone: in fact, during the presentation will also be launched the variant Xiaomi Mi 11X Ultra dedicated to the Indian market. Still uncertain are instead the information on the Mi Smart Band 6 that, according to the well-informed, should be part of the novelties in the list that will peep during the event. The same goes for Xiaomi's Mi Watch Lite smartwatch, already released in other markets under the first name Redmi Watch, debuting in India just on April 23.
Mi11X, what is it about?
Aside from the name of what will be the new series, Xiaomi hasn't anticipated much about how the two new smartphones will look like. However, there is a strong motivation behind what seems to be an attempt to create an aura of mystery around the upcoming proposals. In fact, the two devices are nothing more than two rebrands of devices already known to the market.
Specifically, what has been christened for the occasion Xiaomi Mi 11X is already well known by the name of Redmi K40 (in the opening photo) and Poco F3. Its declination on the theme Xiaomi Mi 11X Pro, however, is none other than the smartphone already known as Redmi K40 Pro and Xiaomi Mi 11i. In essence, many names although it is always the same smartphone already seen on the displays, physical and virtual, of the stores in the sector.
Mi11X, price and sales markets
Since the information on the characteristics is not lacking, the real mystery that hovers around the Xiaomi Mi 11X and its counterpart Pro is that relating to the cost and sales markets. In fact, to date no information has been released on launch prices - which, likely, could remain very similar if not equal to those of origin - nor on the possibility of seeing them arrive in Italy.
