Unveiled what should be the Android 10 road map for Samsung devices. For users there is some bad surprise
Bad news for those who were waiting for the arrival of Android 10 on Samsung devices by the end of 2019. The Korean giant was part of that small group of manufacturers who had made this important commitment with Google, but now things suddenly seem to have taken another turn.
This, at least, is what emerges from a document (apparently official) that is circulating on the Net for a few hours and that shows the likely timing of release of the latest version of the operating system for compatible Samsung devices. And, as mentioned, the road map shows that the Korean company has revised its plans, postponing the launch of the new version of Android.
Samsung and Android 10: the road map of the update
To spread the bad news for the most ardent fans of Samsung was SamMobile, online magazine dedicated to smartphones of the Korean manufacturer. To tell the truth, the news comes from Samsung itself: the incriminated road map, in fact, was uploaded within the app Samsung Members in Israel, pre-installed on all Android devices. From there, it was possible to derive the calendar of planned releases in the Middle Eastern country, but it is not known if it is also applicable to the other nations of the Emea Area.
Which Samsung smartphones will receive Android 10 first
In January, the update should be made available for the top of the range of 2019: the entire Galaxy S10 family and the entire Galaxy Note 10 family. In addition, it should also be available for Galaxy Note 9 and Galaxy A30. In April, it will be the turn of the Galaxy S9 and S9+. Also during the spring it will be the turn of four smartphones from the Galaxy A family: Galaxy A7 2018, Galaxy A9 2018, Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A70, along with the Galaxy Tab S6 tablet. In May will come the turn expected for the Galaxy A30s, Galaxy A20 and the new Galaxy A10 that will be launched right with Android 10 already pre-installed. Finally, also during the first half of 2020, the Galaxy J6 and Galaxy A20 will be the last smartphones to receive the update to Android 10, while in July the Galaxy Tab S5e, Galaxy Tab S4 10.5 and Galaxy J6+ will close the deal.
