Summer 2018 of smartphones promises to be hot. To the many companies that have announced the presentation of their smartphones by the end of June (OnePlus, LG, Motorola, just to name a few), Honor is also added. The Chinese company is conquering more and more users in Italy thanks to cheap and functional devices.
In the first months of the year Honor has launched some very interesting mid-range smartphones, but on the top of the range it has left room for Huawei, the parent company that controls Honor. But before the end of June Honor plans to present and launch on the market the Honor 10, successor to the Honor 9 and Honor 8, considered two of the best devices for value for money. The smartphone has appeared in some images on Weibo, Chinese microblogging site, and immediately jumps to the eye the presence of the notch on the front of the screen. It must be said, however, that compared to direct competitors, the manufacturer linked to Huawei has made a different choice, minimizing the size of the notch and increasing the percentage of surface area dedicated to the screen.
How will Honor 10
It is still early to know the characteristics of the Honor 10 to perfection, also because in addition to the three images appeared on Weibo have not leaked much information. But knowing the approach held by Honor in the last two years with its smartphones, it is possible to guess how the Honor 10's data sheet will be.
The Chinese company's smartphones always have something in common with those of Huawei, Honor being a rib of the Shenzen giant. For example, they share the same chipset: on the Honor 10, in fact, we will find the Kirin 970, already present on the Mate 10 PRO and on the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro. From the photos posted on Weibo, with the Huawei P20 should share not only the processor, but also the design. In the front we find the notch (in a reduced format) and the fingerprint sensor, while in the rear there is a dual camera (about which for the moment there is no information). The smartphone should have at least 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (it could also be produced in multiple versions, with a different amount for storage space and RAM). The screen should be 5.8 inches with FullHD+ resolution and reduced bezels.
The rear will feature a dual camera with a 16 Megapixel main sensor and a 20 Megapixel secondary sensor. The photographic compartment will feature a very special shooting mode called "semantic image segmentation mode" that is capable of recognizing individual subjects in an image and applying different filters.
When Honor 10 comes out
The Honor 10 presentations will be divided into two different events that will be held in China and London respectively. The Asian date is for April 19, while in London for May 15. It should be available for purchase by the end of May. For the price for the moment there is no information about it, but the Honor 10 should cost around 500-600 euros.
