Apple, call for applications for the second year of Academy in Naples

Enrollment is now open for 2017 for the courses of the first Developer Academy in Europe offered by the University Federico II of Naples in collaboration with Apple

After the results of the first year, Apple has decided to organize also for 2017, the Academy dedicated to developers. On the website of the Neapolitan University are available all the information on how to enroll and submit applications for the Academy that will begin its second year of activity next fall.

The program is aimed at young entrepreneurs and future developers - from all over Italy and around the world - who want to attend training courses on software development, startup creation and iOS application design, with a focus on creativity and collaborative process. The Academy has set itself the goal of attracting an audience of students with different curricula and interests. Not only, therefore, those who have already gained some experience in writing code or computer skills, but also young people interested in areas such as design and business.

Apple invests in young people

This year there is also a nice new feature. The Developer Academy will double the number of places available for the new academic year: the selected students will be, in fact, about 400, compared to 200 in the first year. Apple is investing millions of euros to make the course free for everyone and will provide hardware and software for the Academy, including an iPhone and Mac for each student. Engineers and faculty for the course will bring skills from a variety of fields including design, business and marketing, as well as programming. And the facility that will host the courses has been specially designed by Apple and the Federico II University of Naples: a focus on open workspaces that encourage collaboration.
