The television series Cobra Kai arrives at its fourth season and is just a few moments away from the official debut on the Netflix platform. Among the big news anticipated by the teaser trailer there is another historic return that refers to the famous Karate Kid movies: Terry Silver, the villain of the third chapter of the film saga.
About 34 years after the challenges that saw them protagonists, Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, respectively played by Ralph Macchio and William Zabka, are now two adults and two karate masters. Daniel has founded the Miyagi-Do dojo, in honor of his famous master, while Johnny teaches at Eagle Fang, seeking his redemption after a complicated life. The two former enemies will have to join forces to fight against the evil master John Kreese of the Cobra Kai and especially against Terry Silver, one of his most evil and dangerous students.
Cobra Kai 4: what it's about
Cobra Kai was born as a sequel to Karate Kid, where 34 years after the challenges of teenagers Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence, the latter decides to reopen his Cobra Kai dojo and find his revenge. Meanwhile, Daniel has become a wealthy entrepreneur and decides to teach karate to a young employee, taking over the role that was his mentor and master Miyagi.
In the fourth season of the television series, the protagonists' fortunes are revisited, with Daniel and Johnny forced to join forces, and the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojos,to overcome new enemies: from the evil master John Kreese of the All Valley Tournament dojo to his favorite student Terry Silver.
Cobra Kai 4: The Cast
Once again, Ralph Macchio stars as Daniel LaRusso, while rival and newfound friend Johnny Lawrence is William Zabka. The evil master Kreese has the face of Martin Kove, while Terry Silver is played by Thomas Ian Griffith.
The series began in 2018 and was created by Jon Hurwitz, Hayden Schlossberg and Josh Heald for YouTube Premium, only to be acquired by Netflix in 2020, starting off quietly but quickly becoming one of its biggest hits, so much so that it is now in its fourth season.
