On the opening day of MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Samsung takes the veils off its new top of the line devices. Conservative choices for design but top camera
Sure, having launched The Galaxy Note 8 just weeks after the presentation of the iPhone X gave Samsung a way to counter the much "hated" California rival. Everyone was aware, however, that it was simply a "tactical move", just to stall before launching the real counteroffensive.
And as expected, the countermove came at the opening of the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. In the first day of the opening of the world fair dedicated to mobile phones Samsung has removed the veils from the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, top of the range smartphones that in the plans of the South Korean manufacturer should steal the scene to the iPhone 8 and iPhone X. A very open challenge, however, that is fought on the front of technical specifications and performance and two operating systems that, in their similarities, represent a bit 'two opposite visions of the world.
How are Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+
If you expect big news or revolutions, you run the risk of being disappointed. Both in terms of design and technical specifications, Samsung has made conservative choices, which have been well received by the industry press and those who have had the opportunity to test it and hold it in their hands immediately after the presentation.
In terms of functionality and technical specifications, the most important novelty is represented by the rear camera (the "main" sensor, so to speak, present in both the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+).
