The new Hisense 55A8G is a great entry model to OLED technology for Smart TVs: here's how it looks and how much it costs in Italy
Hisense further expands its range of Smart TVs with a new OLED model, as always characterized by a very aggressive price. It is the 55A8G, with a diagonal of 55 inches and goes to join the two A9G 55 and 65 inches.
Hisense 55A8G focuses on value for money and a very nice design, a good set of ports and is equipped with the main technologies to improve the quality of images, colors (however, already at a higher level, thanks to the OLED panel). Unlike other modern Smart TVs, Hisense 55A8G has a decent audio compartment that does not make you think about buying an additional soundbar from day one. All driven by Hisense's proprietary operating system Vidaa, in version 5.0 that relies on the Novatek NT72671D chip.
Hisense 55A8G: technical specifications
The new Hisense 55A8G OLED Smart TV is a 55-inch 4K TV with a decidedly minimalist design: for about half its height it has a minimum thickness, equal to that of the panels alone, while the remaining half is a maximum of 31 centimeters deep and contains the electronics, speakers and connection ports.
Ports such as the 4 HDMI (all 2.1), 2 USB (one 2.0 and the other 3.0), optical digital audio output, headphone output, composite audio and video inputs and LAN network port. There are also WiFi 5 and Bluetooth.
The OLED panel does not excel in terms of technical features, but neither does it disappoint: contrast of 150,000:1, maximum brightness of 800 nits and support for HDR10+, HLG and Dolby Vision. Interesting audio, compatible with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual X: 6 speakers in total, two of which are dedicated to bass, for a total power of 60 watts.
As for the viewing of TV channels, however, to report the dual DVB-T2 and DVB-S2 satellite tuner, with certification lativù 4K.
Hisense 55A8G: price and availability
Hisense 55A8G has already arrived in Italy and will soon be available in physical stores, especially those of large consumer electronics chains, at an official price of 1,099 euros.
It is not yet on Amazon, where, however, it will certainly arrive within a few weeks in view of Christmas shopping and, even before, Black Friday.
