WhatsApp has introduced stickers in its chats, both in single and group chats. Sending them is very simple: here's how to do it
That the various social and messaging platforms screw each other is a well-known fact by now. Just look at the Stories that, launched by Snapchat, were then adopted (even more successfully) by Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and, in a few months, even LinkedIn and YouTube. It should come as no surprise, then, that WhatsApp has decided to introduce stickers, which have had so much luck on Telegram and Facebook Messenger.
Between late October and early November 2018, in fact, the Facebook-owned instant messaging platform decided to further expand the possibilities that its users have to interact with each other by adding sticker packs to the already existing GIFs and emoji. And, in the best of WhatsApp traditions, sending stickers in conversations is an extremely simple operation that doesn't require any special technical knowledge. In case you don't know and you want to find out how to send stickers on WhatsApp, you'll just have to read the guide below.
How to send stickers on WhatsApp
Before going into action, you need to make sure that you have the latest version of WhatsApp installed on your smartphone. Open the App Store or the Play Store (depending on whether you have an iPhone or an Android smartphone) and launch the updates, if there are any. When you are done, open WhatsApp and enter one of the many conversations, both individual and group, that you have active. Click on the field to type a new message and wait for the keyboard of your smartphone to open. Now click on the smiley face to the left of the space bar and, in the new screen that opens, select the icon with the square from the folded vertex. You'll then have access to the stickers already installed in the app and you can send them to anyone you want: just click on the sticker you want and send it as if it were a normal message.

In case the sticker packs already present in WhatsApp are not enough, you can add new ones from a store within the app. As you may have noticed, at the end of the list of stickers already available there's a "+" button: clicking on it will give you access to more stickers to install and use in the way I just described.
