The Chinese manufacturer launches its first smart TV that will also be the first test bed for HarmonyOS, an alternative operating system to Android
The first device with Huawei's alternative operating system to Android is not a smartphone as initially believed. During the presentation of the Huawei Mate30 and Mate30 Pro, the Chinese manufacturer has removed the veil from the Huawei Vision, a smart TV with HarmonyOS on board.
This is not an absolute novelty: just as happened with the two new phablets, in the past months and weeks there had been several rumors about the smart TV by Huawei and it has finally arrived. However, in order to stand out from the rather fierce competition (both at the level of manufacturers and at the level of operating systems), the Chinese electronics giant has decided to make a device that will act as a "home hub", from which you can control compatible smart home devices (obviously branded Huawei).
How is Huawei Vision
The Chinese smart TV will come to market in three different sizes: 55 inches, 65 inches and 75 inches. All three models will have an innovative QLED screen with 4K Quantum Dot Screen panel capable of ensuring a very wide color gamut (100% of the NTSC gamut spectrum) and a refresh rate of 120 Hertz. These are the features of a top of the range TV, to which are added the various software features brought by HarmonyOS.
The main ones concern entertainment, with applications dedicated to various video streaming services and other applications designed for family entertainment. Compared to other smart TVs on the market, however, Huawei Vision is also able to manage smart home devices, thus turning the TV into a home hub capable of managing your entire home.
Not only that, Huawei Vision also mounts a retractable camera, thanks to which you can make video calls and more. Thanks to artificial intelligence, in fact, the camera is able to recognize who is watching the TV at that moment and suggest programs in a personalized way.
