Samsung's new mid-range smartphone surprises for its technical balance and infinite battery, but also for a more than reasonable price
When it was announced this summer it aroused a lot of interest, not only among Samsung fans, and now it has finally arrived on the Italian market. We're talking about the Samsung Galaxy M51, a mid-range smartphone, well priced and with a huge battery that promises a virtually infinite autonomy.
The Galaxy M51 is a mid-range of excellent level, with 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus screen with very thin bezels and Infinity-O design (ie with the central hole that houses the front camera). Very good also the photographic sector, with four sensors at the rear and selfie-cam from well 32 MP. Excellent performance, compared to the price, thanks to the SoC Qualcomm Snapdragon 730 (unfortunately not in version 730G, slightly faster). Considering the performance, the battery and the price of the Galaxy M51, this smartphone is a candidate without any problems among the best buys of autumn-winter 2020.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is a smartphone technically very balanced and concrete. The 6.7-inch screen has a resolution of 2,340×1,080 pixels and a density of 385 dots per inch, while the Snapdragon 730 SoC has eight cores with a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz and is flanked by 6 GB of RAM, while the storage memory is 128 GB.
The rear cameras are well-matched: there's a 64 MP main (F1.8), a 12 MO ultra-wide-angle (F2.2, with a maximum angle of 123 degrees), and then there's the depth sensor and macro, both 5 MP (F2.4). The stabilizer, however, is unfortunately digital and not optical.
The battery is the strong point of the Samsung Galaxy M51: 7,000 mAh. That's a lot, if we think, for example, that the top-of-the-line Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G has an accumulator of "only" 5,000 mAh. What is the Galaxy M51 missing? The 5G connection. In addition, because of the huge battery, it is not very light: it weighs 213 grams.

The Galaxy M51 is available on the official Samsung website, in the two colors black or white, where it is sold at a price of 389 euros with Android 10 and One UI 2.1.
This is a more than reasonable price for a phone with these characteristics and, above all, of this manufacturer.
