From TCL a smartphone that offers everyone 5G connectivity at a very affordable price: it is the TCL 20R 5G and will be on sale from mid-September
Compatibility with the 5G network is now firmly entered among the technical features even of cheap smartphones: You only need less than two hundred euros to buy a future-proof phone, able to hook at least the 5G Sub-6 GHz frequencies of the new fast data network increasingly widespread in Italy too.
The latest arrival in this category of products is the TCL 20R 5G, just presented by the historic Chinese multinational TCL that just this year celebrates 40 years of history and is well known for its phones with a high price/features ratio. TCL 20R 5G also offers some features typical of mid-range smartphones, but in the low price range of the market, and is based on a chip absolutely broken and reliable as the MediaTek Dimensity 700. It still remains a budget smartphone, intended for those who have above all the priority of spending little. Only this year, thanks to the evolution of technology, you can spend little and take home a good phone with 5G connection.
TCL 20R 5G: technical characteristics
TCL 20R 5G is a device with a 6.52-inch diagonal screen, LCD type and with peak brightness of 500 nits. It is not a panel of the highest quality, but the proprietary technology NXTVISION promises to compensate for the limitations of the LCD in terms of color reproduction and contrast.
Good, however, the refresh rate: it comes to 90 Hz, a value until last year unthinkable in this price range. Price range that, however, you see all in the rear photo compartment: 13+2+2 MP, respectively main sensor, depth and macro.
The chip Dimensity 700 (flanked by 4 GB of RAM and 64 or 128 GB of internal memory) is more than sufficient for basic operations, such as Web browsing, social networking, watching streaming content, and does not consume much. Which, combined with a more than good 4,500 mAh battery should ensure a high autonomy between charges: TCL claims 10 hours of video playback, 34 hours of phone calls or 210 hours of audio playback.
TCL 20R 5G: how much does it cost
TCL 20R 5G is clearly not a cell phone for those looking for maximum performance or needing to take artist photos: it is a device that follows the philosophy of "5G for All", that is, giving everyone the ability to connect to the Internet by taking advantage of the latest technology networks.
And, in fact, the price is just for everyone: it starts at 179.90 euros for the 4/64 GB version and goes up to 209.90 euros for the 4/128 GB version. Both versions will be on sale from mid-September.
