While waiting for CES 2018 to officially open its doors, the companies that will be protagonists in Nevada begin to announce the first devices that will be presented during the fair dedicated to the world of electronics. One of the first to come out of the closet is Acer, with the new series of Chromebook 11.
As it happens every year, at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (held every year in the first week of January) all companies present their new lineups of laptops. And Chromebooks have become one of the stars. Although they haven't broken through in Europe, computers with the Chrome OS (developed directly by Mountain View and based on that of Android) are widely used by young students in the U.S., mainly due to the very low cost. And the new Chromebook 11 CB311-8HT promises to be a device dedicated precisely to students.
The characteristics of the Chromebook 11 CB311-8HT
The computer is a simple update of the version launched last year also during the fair dedicated to consumer electronics. The Chromebook 11 mounts an 11.6-inch touchscreen with a resolution of 1366×766 pixels (a version with a non-touch-sensitive display is also available). The size of the screen makes the computer very comfortable to carry inside the backpack. The characteristics of the Acer Chromebook 11 are entry-level computer: on board we find an Intel Celeron processor (probably the new generation Apollo Lake), supported by 2/4GB of RAM and 16/32GB of internal memory (depending on the model chosen). Inside there are no fans. Compared to last year's model have increased the ports available that become three: two will be Type-C, while one will be a classic Type-A. The strong point of the computer is the autonomy: Acer ensures that the computer can be used for more than ten hours before being recharged. As for applications and programs, users will find the Google Play Store already installed.

The computer should arrive in Europe in the coming months at an introductory price of 319 euros. The Chromebook 11 will be launched in electric blue color.
