The help of a smartwatch or a smartband proved to be essential, and so it is no mystery why in the last year and a half this kind of device has had a surge in demand. Fitbit, an American company now part of the Google group, tries to ride the golden moment of these products by presenting the new generation of the best seller Charge, fitness tracker of the American company recently entered the Google orbit. Fitbit Charge 5 has a display that has improved a lot compared to the past generation: it is a 1.04-inch color OLED twice as bright as in the past with Always on, so it can always show the time and some other information with minimal power consumption.
The smartband has a three-axis accelerometer, a skin temperature sensor, Bluetooth and NFC for contactless payments. The battery according to the data stated by Fitbit allows you to stay away from the charger (which, however, charges it completely in a couple of hours) up to 7 days.
Fitbit Charge 5 does not miss the GPS, which allows you to leave your smartphone at home or in the car while tracking information about your workout route, the sensor for detecting heart rate, the one for SpO2, then the saturation of oxygen in the blood, with the addition of other sensors that allow you to perform an electrocardiogram and detect electrodermal activity, to keep stress levels under control.
The gadget can be used without any problems in adverse weather conditions or in the pool without fear of damaging it thanks to its water resistance up to 50 meters deep, while in case of wear and tear the Fitbit Charge 5's silicone strap can be easily removed to anchor another one to the aluminum case.
Fitbit Charge 5 manages to monitor up to twenty different physical activities highlighting parameters such as steps, distance, calories burned, time in active zone, sleep quality, heart rate variability and more. It gives the ability to monitor 24/7 your heart rate and body temperature, provides reminders to hydrate or recommends more regular and healthy sleep/wake rhythms. Also Fitbit Charge 5, like its predecessor, can be paired with Android or iOS smartphones.
