The Galaxy A70s will be Samsung's first smartphone with a 64 Megapixel camera. On board the Snapdragon 675 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage
After unveiling last week the Galaxy A30s and Galaxy A50s, the two low-cost variants of the 2019 Galaxy A series, Samsung seems to have another surprise in store. According to the American site MySmartPrice, the Wi-Fi Alliance organization has certified a new smartphone produced by the South Korean giant, device "filed" with the model number SM-707F and that should be the long-awaited Galaxy A70s.
The Galaxy A70 has recently been released on the Italian market, but Samsung is already working to launch an enhanced version, especially in the photographic compartment. In fact, the Galaxy A70s should mount the 64-megapixel lens produced by the same South Korean company and that initially will be exclusive to the Redmi Note 8, smartphone from Xiaomi. (due out on August 29). The Galaxy A70s should share with the previous model the design with a small central notch where the camera is embedded. On board there could be the Snapdragon 675 supported by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory.
Samsung Galaxy A70s: technical specifications
The hardware base of the Galaxy A70s we have already anticipated: on board there will be the Snapdragon 675 chipset with 6GB of built-in memory and a storage capacity of 128GB expandable up to 512GB using a microSD. The screen is expected to be a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels and a 20:9 aspect ratio. Battery of 4500 mAh with 25W fast charging, Wi-Fi and 802.11ac standards, finally, Android 9 Pie operating system.
Samsung Galaxy A70s: the photo compartment
At first glance, the new Galaxy A70s seems to follow by a thread all the features and technical specifications of its superior model, but it is not so. The main difference lies in the photographic compartment that sees the debut of the 64 MegaPixel Bright GW1 sensor. The Bright GW1 sensor uses Tetracell technology that can "fuse" multiple pixels together, 4 in 1 to be exact, and using special algorithms can produce images of the size of 16 MegaPixel in low light conditions and 64 MegaPixel in optimal light conditions. The Galaxy A70s should replace the 32 MegaPixel main camera with the more powerful and high-performance 64 MegaPixel one, while the remaining two should be the same as already seen on the Galaxy A50s i.e. an 8 MegaPixel wide-angle lens with f/2 focal aperture.2 and a third sensor from 5 MegaPixel dedicated exclusively to the depth of field with aperture always f/2.2.
Samsung Galaxy A70s: release date and price
The documentation released by the Wi-Fi Alliance is just the latest of many rumors leaked online about the new smartphone of the Korean giant. For now, mouths are sealed in the South Korean headquarters on the release date of the Galaxy A70s, as well as on the price. According to the usual well-informed, Samsung could present the device during IFA 2019, the largest European trade fair dedicated to electronics to be held in early September in Berlin
