Samsung postpones to 2022 the presentation of the best tablets in the range, according to rumors: here's what to expect from the Galaxy Tab S8 according to Ice Universe
We're about two weeks away from the Galaxy Unpacked event during which several new products will be presented, including the two foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3. Event that in the past editions has featured other devices, including the Galaxy Note series that this year instead will not be updated (but the S Pen will be supported by the foldable).
And last year among the protagonists there were also the flagship tablets from Samsung, Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+, which, they too, will not have successors during the Galaxy Unpacked on August 11. Samsung has not yet expressed itself on the reasons for this small revolution, but it's possible that the chip crisis that has plagued the entire tech industry for over a year, from smartphones and tablets to the automotive sector, including PCs, has contributed to disrupt the more and less established programs. So fans will have to wait before finding out what they will have to offer the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, namely the Android tablet at the top of the range of the manufacturer of Seoul.
When the three arrive Galaxy Tab S8
On the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 has been expressed in recent hours the well-known leaker Ice Universe, who shared via Twitter his latest information on the subject. First of all, it must be said that compared to the current range, consisting of two products, the next will consist of three tablets: Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+ and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
On the composition of three that will follow the one that for some years marks the top of the range smartphones from Samsung Ice Universe has no doubts. And the link between tablets and smartphones best of Seoul should be further strengthened: the rumors collected by the informant in fact indicate that at least the Galaxy Tab S8 + will be presented together with the Galaxy S22, then in the first half of next year.
There is no reason to believe that Samsung can make official only the Tab S8 + leaving out the other two, perhaps for another occasion, so if the presentation will take place with the Galaxy S22 as claimed in the tweets in all likelihood at that time will come out the entire line of tablets.
The technical specifications are great
According to Ice Universe, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ will have the SM8450 chip, an acronym that identifies the next flagship chip from global leader Qualcomm, namely the one that will pick up the legacy of the current top-of-the-line Snapdragon 888. The tablet will arrive with the One UI 4.0 user interface, that is, the one that should be built on top of Android 12, and a 10,090 mAh battery.
But, says Ice Universe, "it won't be the best [tablet]. There will be the Ultra," unlike the current lineup, which doesn't include better versions of the "Plus." Samsung will thus align the best tablet line with the corresponding smartphone line, and it looks like the differences between the three versions could be quite pronounced starting with the displays.
For Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 we expect an 11-inch screen with LTPS TFT technology, for Tab S8+ a 12.4-inch OLED display, while Tab S8 Ultra is expected to have a huge 14.6-inch screen. All of them will have 120 Hz refresh rate.
