Since the very early morning thousands of users have been reporting that Vodafone has no reception. The reason still remains unknown, but it's possible to make some reliable assumptions.
It wasn't a good wake-up call today for Vodafone users (and, by extension, also for Ho Mobile users). Since the very early morning of today, October 3, the signal of the British phone company is not working and hundreds of thousands of users are unable to use their mobile devices.
Vodafone down seems to concern especially the North of Italy. From here, in fact, come the vast majority of reports of malfunctions of the network of the British telephone operator. According to the reports collected by the portals of the sector (DownDetector.it, but also many people who complain on Twitter), arrived since the very first morning of today, the problem mainly concerns the mobile services and mobile Internet, and only in a minor way the fixed telephony services. At the moment no one knows why Vodafone is not working: despite some hours have passed since the first inconveniences, from the British operator we still don't know anything.
Why Vodafone doesn't take
As we have already mentioned, at the moment Vodafone has not released any official communication about the causes of the inefficiencies. However, analyzing the nature of the reports and, above all, their geographical location (Northern Italy and, in particular, the north west of the country) it is easy to assume that there has been a general failure in some telephone exchange or radio link in Lombardy or Piedmont. A malfunction that prevents users Vodafone and Ho Mobile (which, remember, relies precisely on the radio links of Vodafone) to receive the signal. In short, Vodafone down could be caused by a technical failure of wide scope.
