A new increase for Vodafone customers was in the air. After the increase for fixed-line customers announced at the beginning of September, rumors had spread that before the end of the month other bad news would arrive. The news, however, turned out to be half true. There have been new price increases, but as of today, the last two tariffs that will undergo a decisive increase by Vodafone concern mobile plans.
In particular, in the Vodafone informa section, two disclaimers have appeared a few days apart, communicating contractual changes for Life Connect and Vodafone 25. The first is a tariff for rechargeable that works on a pay-as-you-go basis, in particular it provides a cost of € 0.29 per minute for calls, € 0.29 per sms and € 1.20 / 1 GB for internet browsing. Vodafone 25 is another basic plan on consumption present in the operator's showcase. In questo caso la tariffazione era di 0.25 € da mobile, 0.29€ ogni messaggio e 6 €/1 GB di internet.
Life Connect diventerà un piano con un costo fisso di 1.49€ al mese a partire dal 25 Ottobre prossimo. Questo aumento non implicherà però nessuna integrazione con minuti o GB per navigare. Vodafone nel comunicare le modifiche fa presente ai propri clienti che si potranno attivare delle offerte compensative (in questo caso il piano No Worries e Easy Control) entro Novembre 2019.
Per Vodafone 25 i cambiamenti saranno operativi dal 21 Ottobre e prevederanno l’introduzione di un costo mensile di 1.99€. Also in this case, the operator proposes solutions to avoid the increase: activate one of the Vodafone offers.
As if what has been decided so far were not enough, the news that Vodafone has also decided to eliminate some of the premium services most appreciated by its users has just come out.
In all cases, the price increases will be triggered from the first useful renewal, the only exception being that of the basic plans, which instead undergo the change from the dates indicated.
With these new remodulations, there are six changes for Vodafone users in just three months. The previous one was that of the week of September 9, which announced the next increase in the price of the fixed network offer, for an amount equal to 2.99 euros per month.
The announcement of the price increase had been given by Vodafone, both on the bill and on its official website, already in mid-July, without however specifying whether the increase is referred to all fixed network offers or only to some. According to what we learned from MondoMobileWeb ,to have to pay more will be some customers activated from December 1, 2018 to February 16, 2019. The plans that will undergo the increase are: Internet Unlimited, Internet Unlimited+, Internet & TV Sport, Vodafone One and Vodafone One Pro TV.
Rincari fixed network Vodafone: the compensatory offer
As already happened in the past, to the increase in the price of the offer for the fixed network Vodafone has combined a free promo of "compensation" that, however, takes place on the mobile and not on the home line: Extra 30 Giga on the SIM associated with the customer's fixed network. Once again, the promotion does not activate itself: it is the customer who must request it on the phone operator's website, no later than October 15, 2019.
Vodafone fixed network: more price increases coming
In less than a week, on September 16, 2019, came a second wave of price increases (always from 2.99 euros per month), which affected phone-only customers activated before December 31, 2018. This tariff remodulation had also already been announced by the operator a few weeks ago. At the beginning of September, on the other hand, it was mobile network customers who were affected by Vodafone's price increases: 1.98 euros more for Vodafone Special 30 GB and Vodafone Special 50 GB offers activated between January and March 2019. In that case, the compensatory offer was 20 GB of data traffic per month for free, for one calendar year.
How to defend yourself from the telephone operators' price increases
The law provides, in case of unilateral tariff remodulation (i.e. price increase by the operator, without the customer being able to do anything about it), the possibility of leaving the operator and switching to another without paying any additional cost. Vodafone itself, for example, explains that "You can switch to another operator or withdraw from Vodafone services without penalty up to the day before the last contractual change on variazioni.vodafone.it, by registered letter with return receipt, via PEC, in Vodafone stores or by calling 42828, with the reason for the change "contractual conditions". Cosa fare se non accettano le modifiche
Le azioni di aumento delle tariffe che Vodafone sta mettono in campo su tutto il catalogo di offerte di linea fissa e mobile ha suscitato malcontento tra i clienti. Internet casa di Fastweb
L’offerta Internet casa e telefono di Fastweb ha un prezzo di 24.95€ al mese per chi è raggiunto dalla Fibra (FTTH/FTTC). Ai clienti che chiederanno l’attivazione con tecnologia Fibra misto rame sarà applicato un sovrapprezzo che porterà l’abbonamento mensile a 29.95 €.
La promozione include:
- Chiamate illimitate verso rete fissa e a 0.05€ verso i cellulari
- Modem Fast Gate e assistenza My Fastweb
- Accesso a Wow FI, servizio che consente di usare la linea Fastweb anche fuori casa
Questo operatore nel corso dell’ultimo anno ha notevolmente migliorato le prestazioni offerte dalla propria linea fissa. A research conducted by SosTariffe.it on speed tests performed by users showed that compared to the first half of 2018, Fastweb's download speed went from about 26 Mbit/s to 39.60 Mbit/s (data first 6 months 2019).

Promozioni operatori mobile
Per quanto riguarda le proposte degli operatori mobile i primi tre posti di questa ipotetica classifica sono occupati da due fornitori virtuali e da uno tradizionale. Nel caso specifico si tratta di Kena, Iliad e Wind. È stata esclusa la proposta di ho.mobile dato che è di Vodafone. Nel dettaglio le tariffe proposte variano da circa 6€ di costo mensile fino a quasi 8€, ma includono chiamate e Giga.
Kena ha un piano da 5.99€ al mese con attivazione gratuita. Si dovranno pagare solo 5€ per l’invio della sim. Nell’abbonamento mensile sono inclusi:

- 3 GB da utilizzare in UE
- 50 GB per navigare
Wind propone invece la sua promozione Smart a 6.99€ al mese che include chiamate illimitate, 50 GB per connettersi alla rete internet e 0.30€ ad sms. Sono completamente gratuiti l’attivazione e l’invio della sim abbinata all’offerta. Rispetto all’attivazione gratis viene posta però la condizione che l’offerta venga mantenuta attiva almeno per 2 anni, altrimenti l’utente dovrà versare 10 € all’operatore come contributo iniziale.
Infine, Iliad con la sua offerta con 50 GB e chiamate e sms illimitati a 7.99€. Con quella che è stata la promozione dell’estate l’operatore virtuale si piazza al terzo posto. Nel piano Iliad i costi di attivazione non sono compresi e bisognerà pagare 9.99€ al momento della sottoscrizione dell’offerta.
