Disney+ is ready to make its debut in Italy. Here's how much it costs, what you can watch and from when it will be available
It's now really close to the arrival also in Italy of Disney+, the streaming service of movies, cartoons and TV series with which the Walt Disney Company will try to compete with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Apple Tv+ and all the other video streaming services.
Launched in the United States on November 12, 2019 and initially scheduled in the rest of the world from March 31, 2020, the landing of Disney Plus was later anticipated by a week. Disney+ launches in Italy on March 24, as well as in all other nations where the service will be made available. To further encourage users to take out an annual subscription, Disney has decided to offer a "discount" for the launch of the platform: the first to sign up will enjoy a discount on the annual subscription, which will make the service more advantageous than direct competitors.
When it comes out and how to subscribe to Disney+
As already mentioned, Disney+ comes out in Italy on March 24 and will be preceded by a launch offer that, as you can imagine, is not unlimited in time. The discount of ten euros is in fact only valid until March 23, while from 24 onwards returns the full price of 69.99 euros. With this subscription you get access to a catalog of over 1,000 content Disney, Pizar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, which you can also download and watch offline, without advertising and at no additional cost.
The start of the broadcasts is set for March 24, but pre-orders are already possible on the Disney+ site where we find the "pre-order now" button that we need to start the process of discounted subscription to Disney+.
In addition to the annual subscription there is also a monthly subscription at a cost of 6.99 euros per month.
What to see on Disney+
To challenge giants such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, Disney has done things in a big way and has created a vast catalog that includes the best films and TV series of its properties. From the day of debut will be available on Disney + the films of the Marvel universe, including Avengers: Endgame (the Marvel films on Netflix will be withdrawn when the license agreements expire), the best of Star Wars including the TV series The Mandalorian that has achieved great success with audiences and critics, all the best Fox TV series (over 500 episodes of The Simpsons) and Pixar animated films.
Finally, there will be no shortage of the great classics of Disney+, starting with Snow White and ending with Frozen 2.
