The Asus Rog Phone 3 gaming phone is about to arrive: the TENAA, the certification body linked to the Ministry of Industry, Information and Technology of the People's Republic of China, has in fact just certified it.

And, so, now we also know its official technical specifications for the Chinese market. This is a top of the range model, expressly dedicated to gaming, which has also appeared among the benchmarks of AnTuTu recording a stellar score. On this smartphone, in practice, there is all the top of the current mobile technology to perform the best video games. Not as brilliant, however, the photo department on this type of smartphone is secondary. What matters to play, in fact, are the performance and a great screen. And the Asus Rog Phone 3 seems to have both these features.

Asus Rog Phone 3: technical characteristics

The design of the Asus Rog Phone 3 is functional to gaming: a large 6.59-inch display in AMOLED technology. The resolution is FHD+ (2,340×1,080 pixels) while the refresh rate is very high: 144 Hz (even more than the already many 120 Hz of the Rog Phone 2). Thanks to the AMOLED panel was possible to insert the fingerprint reader under the screen. The display has no notch, but has a thin bezel that incorporates the 13 MP selfie camera in the upper right corner. On the other hand, there are three rear cameras, with the main one being 64 MP. The SoC of the Asus Rog Phone 3 is the best available at the time: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 +, overclocked version of the 865 smooth that comes to 3.09 GHz, against 2.84 GHz of the normal one. Three RAM and ROM sizes are available: 8 GB, 12 GB or 16 GB and 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB. The battery, on the other hand, is 5,800 mAh and charges at 30 watts. Connectivity, of course, includes 5G.

Asus Rog Phone 3: performance

On AnTuTu has already appeared the first benchmark of the Asus Rog Phone 3 and the results, as expected, are record-breaking. The overall score is 646,310 points, the CPU scores 183,149 points, the GPU 247,932 and memory (which is recognized as LPDDR5, for RAM, and UFS 3.0, for ROM) totals 111,239. Just for comparison, the Mi 10 Pro, winner of the top-of-the-line ranking according to AnTuTu in May 2020, has an overall score of 590,838 for the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB ROM version. The latter device is equipped with the regular Snapdragon 865.
