WhatsApp is not working: users are unable to download images and multimedia content sent by users. As of 4 p.m. on July 3, WhatsApp is down and is creating several problems for users. Reports from users are growing by the minute and there are hundreds of people who are looking for a solution on social networks. The hashtag #whatsappdown has immediately become trending tropic on Twitter.
The problem, however, does not only concern WhatsApp, but all applications of the Facebook house. In addition to the messaging app, Instagram and Facebook don't work either. It is not the first time that all three applications go down: the same problem arose in March and April. As for WhatsApp, the problem only concerns multimedia content: those who try to download an image or a voice note sent by a friend receive this message as a response: "Unable to download. Ask to be resent. WhatsApp technicians are working to fix the problem as soon as possible.
Why WhatsApp is not working today
The causes that do not allow users to download images and voice notes on WhatsApp are not known. The same problem had happened last March: also in that case it was not possible to download multimedia content. The inefficiency, however, does not affect only WhatsApp, but all applications of the Facebook world, starting with Instagram.
The reason for the malfunction could be a momentary blackout of WhatsApp servers.
