The fourth season is among Netflix's most anticipated, but filming isn't over yet and won't be wrapping up anytime soon.
The fourth season of Stranger Things is at a standstill, and audiences have now all but given up on the idea of being able to watch it by 2021. Unfortunately, it's one of the many projects to have suffered the consequences of the pandemic. The virus, in fact, had stopped filming suddenly, delaying the work.
Now come other issues to complicate the situation. In fact, there are several factors that contribute to the inconvenience. For example, the locations: filming is done in different countries around the world and often the cast doesn't know the start date until the last moment. Moreover, the writing of the script also proceeds in hiccups and the actors can read the script gradually. Nevertheless, we do know some official news about the plot, for example that Hopper is still alive and away from Hawkins. Gaten Matarazzo, who plays Dustin in the series, made some unexpected statements during an interview: these are of interest to Stranger Things fans.
Stranger Things 4: what Gaten Matarazzo said
Gaten Matarazzo is one of the stars of the TV series, where he plays the funny Dustin. Thanks to the show, he has achieved incredible success, which has led him to host his own show Prank Encounters - Prank Jokes, available with new episodes starting in April on Netflix.
The actor admitted during an interview with Collider: "We only have a few days for the filming dates, we are working day by day. Unfortunately, we don't know yet when we're going to shoot next week, but from next month we should be working more. we're going to shoot next week. Starting next month I should be working more. Also, I really don't know when the filming will end."
Already from the past years, the scriptwriters were gradually proceeding with the writing of the script and this is still going on now. However, Covid-19 already puts limits on the cast and not having the script right away, risks delaying the work even further. Matarazzo added that: "When Pandemic started we had scripts for six episodes. We thought we'd get everything done on time, but then there was a slowdown. In any case, the writers are only focused on this work, which occupies their minds entirely. They have already outlined the story and I think it's something positive."
In short, the actor also confirmed that filming is in high gear, as well as the writing of the episodes. Surely we will see the second season in early 2022.
Stranger Things 4: what we know about the plot
We know that the fourth season of Stranger Thing will focus mainly on Jim Hopper, who at the end of the third season everyone thought was dead. The sheriff is alive and well, but a long way from Hawkins. He is in a concentration camp in Russia, where he is also risking his life because of a monstrous creature from the Underworld. In short, the fourth season promises to be full of emotions and twists. All that remains is to wait for the new episodes and, in the meantime, watch some series similar to Stranger Things available on Netflix or other platforms.
